Originally from Dutchess County, New York-also known as the beautiful Hudson Valley-Irene grew up on a 123-acre family farm before eventually making her way to the Daytona Beach area. It was there that she met her husband of 39 years and raised her family.

As a Patient Care Coordinator at Encore Hearing Care, Irene enjoys helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their hearing healthcare journey. She assists with answering phones, scheduling appointments, coordinating care, and listening closely to each patient’s needs to ensure they receive a positive and caring experience from the very first interaction.

Irene’s path into audiology began from personal experience as a hearing aid wearer herself. After visiting a hearing practice for an adjustment, she was offered a receptionist position and quickly discovered a passion for patient care. What started as answering phones grew into a meaningful career helping others navigate their hearing healthcare needs with compassion and understanding.

What Irene enjoys most about working with patients is knowing they are being cared for in the same thoughtful way she would want for herself. She especially values the personal connections she builds through conversations about family, travel, and life experiences, and she appreciates being able to offer encouragement, prayers, and kindness whenever needed.

Outside of work, Irene enjoys quilting and creating handmade quilts for family and friends. She describes it as “money well spent to see people wrapped up in hugs.” She also enjoys light gardening, even if she says she doesn’t quite have a green thumb.
