ReSound

ReSound is part of the Ballerup, Denmark-based GN Party. For 147 years, they have been breaking new ground in the hearing aid industry.

Since they started in 1943, industry firsts have been one of ReSound's specialties. ReSound seeks to help people rediscover their hearing so that they can live their best lives. They were the first manufacturer to supply 2.4GHz technology, which rendered direct stereo sound streaming for Apple ® hearing aids. Their desire to continually innovate helps their customers hear more, do more, and be more than they ever thought possible.

Which technology is ReSound known for?

ReSound is one of the top five manufacturers of hearing aids globally and is renowned for creativity and technology that is continuously evolving. ReSound has raised the bar for better listening with the release of the excellent LiNX Quattro family of hearing aids in 2018. Both Artificial Intelligence and Siri merged with their Quattro line of hearing aids in 2019.

Here are some other technologies they have pioneered:

  • Wide Dynamic Range Compression

A cutting edge sound processing technique.

  • Digital Feedback Suppression (DFS)

This was the first method to remove screeching and sound distortion.

  • Binaural Directionality III

This feature helps the hearing aid user hear 80% more of the sounds around them while also being able to hear clearer speech compared to most hearing aids.

  • Made for iPhone

Resound launched the first Made For iPhone hearing aids that gained attention from the general technology world for the first time. Previously, hearing aids needed a streamer to connect to a smartphone. This model began the direct Bluetooth connectivity wave that continues in other hearing aid manufacturers today.

ReSound LiNX 3D was one of the first ReSound hearing aids to feature full remote fine-tuning capabilities allowing users to remain in touch with their hearing care provider wherever they are.
