Oticon Hearing Aids

Oticon Hearing Aids

Oticon was founded in 1904 and is considered one of the most successful firms in the industry. Located outside Copenhagen in Denmark, they are the world's second-largest manufacturer of hearing aids.

The company was founded by Hans Demant, who set out over 116 years ago to help his wife, Camilla Louise Demant, with her hearing loss. Passionate about helping his hard of hearing wife, he bought a hearing aid for her after learning that Queen Alexandra of England was wearing one. Hans Demant was fascinated by how this hearing instrument enhanced his wife's hearing.

Oticon's motto, 'People First' continues to inspire the company to do great things. This philosophy informs every piece of research, every Oticon hearing aid, and every feature that it generates.

Oticon Real™

The cornerstone of Oticon Real's innovation lies in its incorporation of BrainHearing™ technology. This groundbreaking technology grants the brain access to the entire sound scene, resulting in a more comprehensive auditory experience. By providing the brain with the necessary information to process sounds optimally, Oticon Real contributes to reduced listening effort for the wearer. This means users can enjoy a heightened level of engagement and focus while remaining aware of their surroundings, making everyday interactions and activities more enjoyable.

Additionally, the full sound scene access offered by Oticon Real hearing aids is instrumental in delivering a natural and lifelike auditory perception. The technology goes beyond simply amplifying sounds; it ensures that the user experiences the complete sound environment, allowing for a more immersive and enriched listening experience.

Oticon Opn S Hearing Aid Product Line Up With ChargerA 360-degree sound experience is possible with the Oticon Opn S. Wearers can now hear sounds from all around them, allowing the brain to differentiate speech from background noise. Instead of blocking sounds by focusing on one speaker in noisy environments, Oticon Opn S hearing aids use a 360-degree sound experience to access the relevant sounds around you and fixate the sounds you want to focus on as a user. All this, with less listening effort than ever before. Studies show that Oticon Opn S users undergo the same speech awareness level as individuals with normal hearing.

Hearing Technology from Oticon

  • BrainHearing

By preserving the natural sound processes in the brain and enabling both ears to work together to identify where the sounds originate, BrainHearing technology helps compensate for the difficulties associated with hearing loss. The technology of BrainHearing helps you focus on the sounds that are around you. Speech is given preference over other sounds to help the wearer discern voices from noise. It is possible to program BrainHearing hearing devices to match personal preferences with individual settings. The result is a more effortless listening experience.
